Melanie La Barrie

Melanie recently finished playing the role of Hermes in the West End premiere of Hadestown

Prior to this, she appeared as the Nurse in the Max Martin musical & Juliet at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Broadway. She originated this role from the initial workshop stage to the original London cast at London’s Shaftesbury Theatre.

Her previous credits include Madame Morrible in Wicked at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre, Dick Whittington at the National Theatre, The Everyman Season at the Everyman Playhouse in Liverpool, Matilda the Musical (original cast) at the RSC and Cambridge Theatre, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax at The Old Vic, Play Mas at the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond, and he Bakkhai with Ben Whishaw and Bertie Carvel at the Almeida Theatre.
